The Creative Testing Framework We Use to Scale Meta Ads

A repeatable framework for creative testing on Meta, built around hooks, hypotheses, and statistical honesty.

Most creative tests are not tests. They are vibe checks. Two creatives go live, one wins by 3% on CTR, and the team declares a winner, usually before there is enough data to call anything.

Here is the framework we run on every account that crosses Rs5L/month in Meta spend.

1. Hooks before bodies

The first 3 seconds carry 80% of the creative weight. Test hooks first, then bodies, then CTAs. Do not ship full new creatives until you know which hook works.

2. Hypothesis-driven, not feature-driven

Every test should answer a question. "Does urgency beat aspiration in our hook?" "Does a creator outperform a studio shot?" "Does the founder talking outperform the model?" Write the hypothesis before the creative.

3. Statistical honesty

Run tests until you hit at least 50 conversions per variant or 7 days, whichever is longer. Anything else is a guess.

4. Kill fast, scale faster

If a creative is not in the top 30% by Day 3 spend, it dies. If it is in the top 10%, it gets 2x budget and 3 spin-offs.

5. Document everything

Every creative gets logged with hook type, body type, format, and result. Over six months this becomes the most valuable asset on the account: your proprietary creative library.
